Heritage: The Old Fitzgerald brand boasts a storied past, having been first registered in 1884 by S.C. Herbst. It later found its way into the hands of the legendary Julian P. "Pappy" Van Winkle during Prohibition. Under Pappy's guidance, Old Fitzgerald was transformed into the first renowned Wheated Bourbon. The ornate decanter, inspired by a 1950's Old Fitzgerald diamond decanter, is a nod to this illustrious history.
Known for its distinguished distilling lineage, the Old Fitzgerald line has been associated with quality and craftsmanship. In 1999, the brand was acquired by Heaven Hill, ensuring that the tradition of distilling Old Fitzgerald continued at the Bernheim Distillery in Louisville.
