This whiskey is crafted with unique blends of the oldest stocks and distinct mash bills, including Corn, Rye, Malted Barley, and Malted Rye. Aged in new toasted and charred barrels made from Kentucky Oak, which are air-seasoned for a minimum of 18-24 months, this whiskey is a testament to tradition and craftsmanship. The water source from the historic distillery well and the meticulous aging process contribute to its rich character. Distilled and bottled at the historic James E. Pepper Distillery in Lexington, Kentucky, the average age of these whiskies is 5.5 years, and they are bottled straight from the barrel, uncut and unfiltered.
On the nose, you’ll find toasted oak and walnuts, while the palate reveals layers of oak, dried dark fruits, and marzipan. The finish is medium-long, with lingering notes of creamy vanilla, citrus peel, and nutmeg, offering a balanced and satisfying tasting experience.
