Midleton Dair Ghaelach Kilranelagh Wood Edition — the fifth chapter in the celebrated Midleton Dair Ghaelach series — pays tribute to Ireland’s natural heritage and exceptional whiskey craftsmanship. Born in the rolling hills of County Wicklow, this edition draws its character from six carefully selected native Irish oak trees from Kilranelagh Estate, a woodland nurtured by the Westerholt family for over 300 years.
Each cask, made from these unique Irish oaks, was filled with a handpicked selection of 15- to 28-year-old Single Pot Still whiskeys originally matured in American oak. After two years of careful monitoring, Master Distiller Kevin O’Gorman and Blender David McCabe found the perfect harmony between oak influence and spirit character. The result is a whiskey of depth, elegance, and truly Irish soul — a celebration of craft, nature, and legacy.
